Romantic Save the Date: Wedding Planning
Our perfectly rustic but romantic Save the Date cards were delivered which means I can finally share them with you guys! Never in my life have I been able to make decisions more on a whim than since being with Argenis. When it comes to making choices, something just clicks with us, and we go with a lot of firsts. Our wedding venue? The first one we saw. My wedding dress? The first one I tried on.
Also a no-brainer for us was deciding to create our Save the Date cards with Basic Invite, which I fell in love with after ordering a sample Save the Date card and some personalized stationery. Picking your perfect picture for your Save the Date card can be hard but from our outfits to our body language and the rustic brick wall and door, the shot we picked is just so us. My advice with choosing your picture is to pick the one that you feel highlights who you are together.
Not wanting a card that everybody but our parents and siblings would just throw out, we decided to go with the magnet Save the Date’s because let’s be honest, you have to be kind of a jerk to throw out a beautiful magnet card!
I have to say that the hardest part in designing our card was choosing just one of Basic Invite’s templates. So many beautiful options which we had to narrow down to three before finally picking the best one for our overall style. In the end we went with the Anchors Aweigh layout, made a few minor changes and voila! Our beautiful Save the Date card was created.
One of the greatest perks on Basic Invite is that it’s a one stop shop for all the wedding paper goods we’ll need. So now that we’re past the Save the Date cards, we can soon start thinking about our invitations, place cards, thank you cards and coasters. Yes, coasters!! Cute details like these excite me because it’s just another fun, little way to sprinkle our personality into the wedding.
Speaking about personality, wrapping up our engagement session at Sweatbox Brooklyn, Argenis’ other baby, was another easy choice for us because what better than how we met to be the backdrop of our pictures. You can see our favorite boxing engagement session pictures and read our story here, if you don’t already know it.
They say it’s the journey, not the destination, so we’re trying to enjoy every second of our wedding planning until the big day when we officially become Mr. and Mrs. Arce and then continue on to multiply the joy by 100!
