Confessional: Pregnancy Weight Gain

I officially entered my second trimester on September 3rd and I have to say I still can't get over how amazing it was to see our 2 inch baby bouncing around and even sucking their thumb!  It's unexplainable how this teeny-tiny baby who we still haven't held in our arms, holds so much of our love.  Since this is about confessionals though, I must go on to not so sweet news... the dreaded, unavoidable weight gain.  If you know me, you know I was not happy about the 5 pound weight gain in my first trimester! Not happy is an understatement actually, to be honest, I was on the verge of tears but I had to hold it in because:

a) I didn't want anybody thinking something went wrong with my appointment and

b) I knew the Mr. wouldn't let me live those tears down without telling everybody about how dramatic I am.

I have always been big into carbs but for about the last 6 weeks, it's all I want.  Pizza, bread, rice and more pizza.  Meats on the other hand; I'm not really enjoying (cant even stand the smell of it at times) so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised about this "sudden" weight gain.  I'm trying to look at all the positives though and have to say my boobies are embracing the extra pounds wonderfully and I am loving it; so I'll blame at least 2 of the extra pounds on my growing boobs.  I know I can't beat myself over the weight gain and yes, I know, it's inevitable but I hope my Doctor is right in saying my eating habits should be more back to normal in the the next 2 weeks so hopefully I can go back to actually enjoying eating on the healthier side.

Exercise wise I am doing at least 3-4 days a week at the gym, of training myself, but also no where near the intensity or duration I normally do.  Now that the feeling of being tired all the time is easing up on me, again I'll be positive and say I think I'll be much better with keeping active in the months to come especially since they say the 2nd trimester is usually the best.

Until then I'll just continue to embrace my growing baby bump and of course my growing boobies.  'Til next time lovelies!
