Dominican Republic: Highlights of Our Family Vacation
Vacationing with babies is always going to be a little nutty (breakdown's, jet lag, and those random meltdowns at the least desired moment - like right before Achilles needs to walk down the aisle as Ring Boy!). Here's a look into our family vacation to Dominican Republic.
ZONA COLONIA
Our impromptu day trip to Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo was a nice, new experience in the country. There we got to visit the oldest Cathedral in America, la Catedral de Santo Domingo, where along with other females who we're exposing our knees had to wear a cloth drape around our waist before entering.
Museo D Las Casas Reales (Museum of the Royal Houses) and The Alcazar de Colon, which was a palace granted to Christopher Columbus' first born son, are two other historical treasures that you will find in the first colonial city in the new world.

Made up of just eleven streets filled with amazing architecture, museums, statues, restaurants, and gift shops, Zona Colonial is an easy fun little city to get a deeper look into a part of Dominican Republic's history many don't know about.
TIP: With little to no shade, don't forget your sunglasses or hat, and certainly don't forget your sunscreen.
VILLA ALTAGRACIA
La Altagracia en Villa is one of many shrines in Dominican Republic. Wish a beautiful view overlooking nature at it's best; it's a nice spot to take a quick breather if you find yourself driving through the center of Villa Altagracia.
DREAMS PUNTA CANA
Like Achilles' says, "Party Time!". My little brother's wedding getaway was exactly what we all needed. Family time, friends, laughter, tears (of joy), dancing, and lots of new memories.
Of course no trip to the Caribbean is complete without some fun in the sun.
Home sweet home
Spending time at my parents house in the countryside is always so nice. The feeling of being right back at "home" is like no other. And seeing my babies love it so much makes it even more special.

Road trip to Puerto Plata... and no, Achilles was not our driver.
