Family of Four Halloween Costumes Ideas

Coming up with the perfect family-of-four Halloween costumes is half the fun! Here’s a quick rundown of my three favorite halloween costumes over the years, one for couples and two family halloween costumes ideas.

PRIEST AND NUN

Oh my! I still don’t know how my now husband convinced me to do this one on our first Halloween together but we did it and for one night were a naughty pair of priest and nun. A total Halloween hit!

SESAME PLACE FAMILY

Our first year as a family of four was enough reason to go all in and have a little fun with our family Halloween costumes. Achilles had recently discovered his love for cookies so when I saw a toddler Cookie Monster costume, it clicked! Meet Mr. and Mrs. Grouch, Cookie Monster and Cookie.

I didn’t find any toddler cookie costume so I made it myself. No sewing necessary. Just a white onesie, felt, scissors, a hot glue stick and voila! DIY halloween cookie costume was complete! You can check out my full Sesame Place halloween family costumes post here.

WOODY AND JESSIE HAVE BABIES!

Disney will obviously never give us this because Woody’s in love with Bo Beep and Buzz Light Year and Jessie are a thing… but for one night we decided Woody and Jessie would have babies! Especially with Toy Story 4 having just came out this summer, I think family Toy Story Halloween costumes would be a hit with your little ones!

Achilles face was priceless when he saw we were all similarly dressed up for Halloween. This was also his first year of really grasping the fun behind Halloween and he absolutely loved it. Not to mention that he couldn’t believe that people were really giving him candy every time he would knock on a door and say “trick-or-treat”.

If you don’t have babies, Woody and Jessie would still make a fun couples Halloween costumes.

Now time to start thinking on our family halloween costumes ideas for this year. Have any ideas for us?
